Emma Sibbles is a content consultant, journalist, copywriter and ghostwriter based in Yorkshire.

Put simply: words are my thing. Whatever kind of written word you are looking for, I can guarantee I’ve got experience creating it. And I’d love to work with you.

My love of writing started with a love of reading and I continue to devour books although my tastes lean more towards literary thrillers these days than pony books.

I have a degree in English Language and Literature and did journalism training with the Trinity Mirror group before interning at Vogue and Glamour magazines back in the early 2000s. I got my first job at Marie Claire where I was tasked with writing everything from real life stories, to profile pieces, fashion features, careers pages, and music reviews.

From there I moved to The Guardian as Deputy Fashion Editor. I covered the biannual fashion shows notably interviewing the likes of Miuccia Prada and Donatella Versace backstage fresh from their catwalk bows, discovered fashion and beauty trends, interviewed celebrities like Yasmin Le Bon and Dominic Cooper, and delivered news stories to incredibly tight deadlines.

I joined ASOS’ customer magazine as Fashion Features Editor, working my way up to Editor over my time there. I introduced a culture section to the magazine and fashion features that hit the spot for our twentysomething reader. When ASOS launched daily online content, i was part of the team developing ideas and writing the copy each day.

After four and a half years at ASOS, I moved back to Yorkshire where I took my branded content knowledge to the agency arena, working for brands like ghd, Bio-Oil, Cadbury, Morphy Richards, and many more. As well as my agency work, I continue to freelance for national publications like The Telegraph and The Sun and create content for brands like Cloud 9, Wyse London, and PayCaptain.
